What was the very first record you bought?

Good question! We always had lots of records at home when I was a kid so it could have been anything. Most likely something really silly and embarrassing, heh.

What is the most expensive record have you bought?

Samhain´s Unholy Passion 12″ original pressing might be the most expensive for me or maybe some box set.

What are your 5 very favorite bands ever?

Suede. David Bowie. Joy Division. Samhain. Musta Paraati.

Name 5 bands that have changed your life?

In addition to the 5 favorites… Swans. Nine Inch Nails. Hank Williams.

Name your 3 favorite Gothic Fests?

Lumous Gothic Festival, Sacrosanct and Dark Spring. Great fun all of them.

Name your 3 favorite gigs as a musician and as fan?

Too many to mention! Suruaika played some crazy shows back in the day and I have some really fond memories of many of them. Silent Scream has also done quite a few good ones, our first visit to St Petersburg was really intense, great crowd. As a fan… Danzig at Provinssirock 1995 was great. Ministry at the London Astoria 1999 was also quite something! Suede at Berlin Music Festival a few years ago was one hour of pop bliss. I cried tears of happiness when Brett Anderson grabbed my hand during The Wild Ones. Ha!

Name the most 3 influential albums for you as an artist

David Bowie: Low. Musta Paraati: Peilitalossa. Danzig: 4P.

Describe yourself with 3 adjectives

Loyal. Stubborn. Strange.

What is the most overrated gothic band?

No comment. Naming shitty bands would be promoting them at the same time.

What is the most underrated gothic band?

Two Witches! That band is a classic with great tunes and they fucking deliver on stage. I’ve seen them some 30+ times over the years and have most of their records. They are also great fun to play shows with. I fuckin love em.

In which band would you have liked to play live?

David Bowie´s backing band in the mid 90s or NIN during the same period.

Name 3 new gothic bands that have caught your attention lately?

I honestly don’t know many new traditional gothic bands these days, my taste has gravitated towards post punk and synthpop (among tons of other stuff). Awesome new bands I´d like to mention are Di Unru and Lola Kumtus, both are worth checking out. Also Rue Morgue sounds quite good based on what I´ve heard.

Gothic Rock or Post Punk and why?

Post Punk. Each time this topic arises I tell people that after growing out my real hair color and weighing over 100kg I have slowly ended up changing my style. There go my scene points! Ha!
