“Imagine a world in which Andrew Eldritch kept his hair and his leather jacket, and instead of doing crossword puzzles for the last decade, he spent his time cracking skulls in biker bars. Shazam! Terminal Gods.” – Classic Rock
“Terminal Gods are the genuine desperadoes of London’s emerging underbelly of dark dive bar rock bands.” – Fred Perry Subculture
London-based post-punks Terminal Gods have announced the release or their debut album. ‘Wave / Form’ is released on the band’s own Heavy Leather label on May 6th 2016. Preceding the album comes the single ‘Connection & Rupture’ with a new video by Massive Capital Video.
Since forming in 2011 the band have released two 7” singles, a cassette and one 12” EP, ‘Machine Beat Messiah’, which New York’s Absolution Blog called “the best release of the year”. In their short time together, Terminal Gods have toured through mainland Europe four times. In London they’ve sold out The Garage and The Barfly.
On stage, Terminal Gods strike an imposing form. Backed by a rack of drum-machine hardware and armed with an arsenal of frantically overdriven pop songs, the band stand in a smoke-shrouded musical no-man’s land. Finding themselves halfway between the uncompromising, raucous hard rock of the 70s, and the cold, new wave beats of 80s. Terminal Gods are a fearsome live band with something to say.
On top of this, the band run successful live music and club nights in and around North London under Heavy Leather Promotions, a DIY label Roadkill Records, and A New Dusk, which started out as a blog and has since escalated into London’s leading minimal and cold wave club night.
Terminal Gods are: Robert Cowlin, Robert Maisey, Jonathon Campbell Ratcliffe and Josh Cooper
